zweep zweep zweep

after careful consideration, I've determined that zweep is the sound my pants make every time my thighs brush against each other when I walk. are my corduroys trying to tell me something? would the sound be quieter if my thighs were skinnier? of all the humiliations clothes can bring to bear on a person, have you ever noticed that the audible ones are the most embarrassing? for example, ugly shoes may make you feel one way, but how about ugly shoes that squeek? OR if your pants rip, it's the sound of the ripping that is the worst part (otherwise maybe you wouldn't notice they were torn and you could go on blithely with the rest of your day). well, perhaps my cords aren't the most attractive pair of pants I've ever put on, but I can get over that (especially because they're so comfy) - it's hard, however, to ignore the fact that they're bleating as I walk. it's like they're shouting out to the world that my thighs are bigger than they should be. I experimented with wide-legged walking. it didn't work out because while it dampenend the noise, I looked like I was saddle sore!

today I had homemade beef stew for lunch (made with lean sirloin, carrots, onion, celery, one potato and a little bit of wine - that's the entire recipe! oh, add water, salt & pepper).

exercise was treadmill - it took me 43 minutes to go 3.2 miles, not so great, but at least I have no where to go but up. tomorrow I'm going to do my yoga dvd at the gym. we'll see how that goes!

  2. yeah, you're right, I shouldn't care how long it takes - for me, it's a miracle that I'm even putting my body into motion!
